ADDRESS: Burt Hall, St Georges Cathedral, Perth, WA
PROJECT: Perth at the Outbreak of War was a temporary exhibition included in the program for the recent Heritage Perth Weekend. Displayed in the beautiful Burt Hall, adjacent to St George’s Cathedral, the aim was to celebrate the centenary of World War One and the 75th anniversary of World War Two.
Using historical images displayed in a narrational manner, the exhibition walked visitors through the stories and emotions of Perth at the outbreak of war. The freestanding panels covered the themes of How We Lived, Worked, Played, Cared and Prepared.
Creative Spaces collaborated with Richard Offen, from Heritage Perth, in choosing the imagery, designing the graphics and installing the exhibition.
